Mistress America

Went to see Mistress America at the weekend and loved it. Not to the same level as Frances Ha, but Greta Gerwig is great and her and Baumbach's films are so charming, although they do tend to overdo it on pretentious, hipster stereotypes. Also, I didn't expect it to be too funny, but found myself proper laughing out loud on several occasions. Has anyone else seen it?

I really loved it - screenings were not well attended though despite good reviews. DH and I had the cinema to ourselves.

Finally saw it and was quite disappointed (though not surprised that I was disappointed). I very much liked the rapid-fire dialogue which was sometimes reminiscent of 1930s movies. But I found most of the characters exasperating, and started getting particularly annoyed at the way the women were portrayed.
