I've only seen Life of Brian, thought it's hilarious.

MythicalKings · 15/08/2015 19:21

I used to dream of being a Monty Python fan

meglet · 15/08/2015 19:21

yes. I was virtually raised on Python.

it's never on the telly anymore is it Sad .

DocHollywood · 15/08/2015 19:24

Me too. Although I'm 37. I'm not old.

DustWitch · 15/08/2015 19:31

I love Monty Python!

I was wondering recently if the DC are old enough for The Holy Grail. No matter how many times I watch it, it has me creased up with laughter.

We are the Knights who say... NI! Grin

Come back 'ere you yellow bastards and take what's coming to you! I'll bite yer legs off!

I can't wait til DCs are old enough to see some Monty Python. I've already introduced them to Fawlty Towers. They practically pee themselves laughing.

But I did have to remind them NOT to do Basil's Hitler walk in public.

'He turned me into a newt ... I got better'

Love it so much, watched 'Holy Grail' and 'Life of Brian' endlessly as a teenager. Don't find 'The meaning of life' quite so funny although the sperm song has me in hysterics.

MoonriseKingdom · 15/08/2015 20:13

Every sperm is sacred
Every sperm is great
If a sperm gets wasted God gets quite irate.

What about Mr Creosote and his waffeur thin mint, Moonrise? Is only waffeur thin...

Grin Individual bits are funny but it doesn't gel as a film for me, more of an extended sketch show with quite a lot of filler. I think the other two, especially Life of Brian, are proper films.

Life of Brian also brings together the other love of my life, George Harrison, who partly funded it. Love watching his awkward acting when he makes a cameo queuing for the crucifixion.
