After reading the "terrible accents in TV and film" thread, it got me thinking about the best ones!

I'll start with Idris Elba as Stringer Bell in The Wire. Didn't even realise he was British when I first watched it.

Bath, John Barrowman, you wouldn't know he was Glaswegian would you. When he does speak in his regular accent it seems like he's putting it on to me, which I know is silly. I think the American accent has influences from the Scottish accent so maybe that helps.

Cate Blanchett is such a good actor, aways seems to get it right.

Gwyneth Paltrow is awful in Sliding Doors. Leonardo di Caprio in Blood Diamond is really good.

Who was the make lead in An Education? Peter Sjarsgaard or something. Isn't he American in RL? Good British accent though.
Domnhall Gleason does good non-irish accents but not sure where he grew up.
James MacAvoy's accent in Starter for Ten still makes me cringe.
Michael Sheen does good accents
