I'm sorry there's not much to go on.

real life story about 2 children separated by a fence who walk miles along the fence to be with each other.
I caught the end bit and there was a bit at the end that said what happened to them in their lives after this.
Not sure why the fence or what the fence was there for.
They may have been runaway orphans.
It was definitely set in many years ago.

No, Walkabout is a 70s film with Jenny Agutter where she and her little brother are befriended by an Aboriginal after their father randomly killed himself. Some weird editing, what was the director on?
