Tell us about the latest movie that you have watched at the cinema...Mine is the adaptation of Thomas Hardy's book 'Far from the Maddening Crowd'..it is captivating. Carey Mulligan plays the main protagonist Bathsheba - who inherits her uncle's farm. A free spirit she is reluctant to be tied down to any man-at least initially - there are plenty of suitors. Belgian Matthias Schoenarts is the lowly sheep-herder (silently hearning after our heroine), the bad-boy Tom Sturridge , and the stoic local older farmer Michael Sheen. While slow paced, the cineamatography is captivating (reminded me of scenes from the movie Pride & Prejudice). Definitely one for the girls!
