I think that compared to inception it's rather poor. MM and JC are foot but I could take or leave the rest of the cast.

Very glad I didn't see it at the cinema, I was grateful I could bugger off into the room and leave dh and ds to watch it- they loved

Roobix04 · 25/04/2015 15:02

I enjoyed the film but it was slightly ruined by Mr Mumble Mcconaughey. Having to turn it up really loud and then turn it down during every action scene so as not to wake dd was really off putting.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 25/04/2015 18:46

Oh he mumbles in everything, I'm getting increasingly irritated with him!

Lardylassnomore · 26/04/2015 16:14

I didn't mind MM. I did think Anne Hathaway was wasted though an she could have plate a bigger part!

I just saw this film and thought it was really good. MM l thought was well cast, Anne hmm not so blown away.

I thought inception was a bit meh compared to this!

Bambambini · 13/05/2015 23:24

Was ok till near the end. WTF - really??? Totally made it ridiculous and laugh out loud.

superoz · 15/05/2015 00:42

I liked it better after the second viewing it made a bit more sense even though there were plot holes. I felt it could have ended at an earlier point though, the last 15minutes or so seemed to feel tagged on and without revealing any spoilers felt slightly incredulous!

Cool film!

macnab · 21/05/2015 21:34

Oh god it was awful. DH snorted and went to bed early on. Since it had been my idea to watch it I felt obliged to see it through. It was so long and drawn out and just got more ridiculous as it went on. As for Matthew Mahogany...
It's hours of my life I'll never get back. Definitely won't be recommending it to anyone.

Sgtmajormummy · 21/05/2015 21:55

Paid for DS to see it at the cinema, now he's repaying the favour by borrowing his friend's bluray disk on Saturday. He enjoyed it and said DH is going to love it. I'll let you know...

WowOoo · 21/05/2015 22:00

I enjoyed it. Watched it twice and it was better the second time when I could pause it.

It's a ridiculous film, but I didn't want to turn it off. I generally love MM. But, he had waay too much fake tan on. And he really does mumble, thank feck for subtitles.

Sgtmajormummy · 23/05/2015 22:53

I'm back from the other side! Wink
Well. It was an enjoyable experience but not one I'd repeat. The time discrepancies were well explained but those tearful long-distance messages got a bit tiresome. AH reminded me of Japanese cartoons when their eyes go all wobbly. Mr Mahogany gave it all he had but Matt Damon was embarrassing as the deranged survivor, wasn't he?
Great special effects and a lot of 2001 style music. I just need brain bleach to be able to forget Michael Caine intoning Dylan Thomas!
6/10 from this jury.

I was gutted I'd missed it at the cinema so really excited to see it on the small screen. Terribly disappointing.

TheFirstOfHerName · 13/06/2015 23:34

I liked it.
