Enjoyed this film a lot. Always love Marion Cottillard but thought Matthias Schoenaerts was excellent too. here's an article about him.

I really enjoyed Rust & Bone too. What a fantastic actor she is.

Aah I just watched Suite Francaise the other day and Matthias Schoenaerts plays the passionate and brooding German officer....I KNEW I recognised him from somewhere. Thanks! I really enjoyed Rust and Bone, really good performances.

He's playing Gabriel Oak in Far from the Madding Crowd and he's also in new Alan Rickman film "A Little Chaos" with Kate Winslet. His character is Andre Le Notre, designer of gardens at Versailles under Louis XIV.
