Saw this on DVD at the weekend, and really loved it.

Fantastic direction, brilliant acting.

I normally hate thrillers with child actors in them, but this one was great IMO.

I usually like Jennifer Connelly films so will give this a go - thought she was very good on A Beautiful Mind.

It really is worth watching, saadia.

the japanese original is soooooo much better!, i found the remake very plodding tbh. The original is directed by Hideo Nakata (director of 'Ringu')and is available over here so worth looking out if you've not seen (or even seen) the US version....

Thanks, Ash - I'll look for that.

The Japanese originals of these films are usually SO much better aren't they?

Agree with you there Humphrey! the only US remake i'm kinda excited about is Martin Scorsese's remake of 'Infernal Affairs' ('The Departed')....be interesting to see what a director of his calibre has done with it....from what i've heard it's pretty good!....now just to get babysitters! lol

Same here, Ash - or wait for it to come out on DVD!
