My movie buddy & I went to see Selma last night, very interesting, we hadn't realised the how high the barriers which were put up in the South to stop blacks from voting were. Although it's a 12 the violence is very upsetting, I think because it is perpetrated against ordinary people so we identify closely with them. Good film which shows that even 100 years after the Civil War ended attitudes towards black people in some communities were still appalling.
