Is it very political and earnest or will I be able to ogle the Clooney without being sidetracked by isshoos?

You could always wear earplugs, should it become an ishoo.

GraceUnderFire · 21/10/2006 18:48

Good idea. Or just talk through it. He is beardy in it, I believe.

He is a man of whom I should really disapprove but find absolutely gorgeous.

GraceUnderFire · 21/10/2006 18:51

He is really rather lovely. Though the 'film' Clooney is not a patch on the "wet in a DJ Dr Ross" Clooney in the heady days of ER.

He is earnest and political too. Double whammy.

there can't be many women who would say no to George (though his beard looks v bushy)

motherinferior · 21/10/2006 18:53

I even rather enjoyed the fillum with Michelle Pfeiffer in it

GraceUnderFire · 21/10/2006 18:53

So did I

One Fine Day?

foxinsocks · 21/10/2006 18:54

I think you have to try quite hard not to enjoy him

GraceUnderFire · 21/10/2006 18:55

He twinkles. I like a man who twinkles.

tis the eyes

though apparently in Syriana he had to put on quite a bit of weight - wonder it's possible to see past the blubber and the beard?

GraceUnderFire · 21/10/2006 19:03

I manage it with dh (close my eyes and pretend he's George Clooney )

lol

Oh blimey.

I couldn't follow it at all.

I must be exceedingly dim.

It was oil, and dodgy dealing, and the CIA, and Iran, and possibly Afghanistan too (that's where they speak Farsi, isn't it?) and old George was a bit podgy and beardy and jolly earnest but still twinkly (in a beardy and earnest kind of way). And I fell asleep for a bit but, honestly, I don't think that impaired my understanding of the film in any way. And dh is still asleep.

Oh and Matt Damon's in it too. And there was a sad bit. And a yucky, hands over eyes bit (with George). And America were baddies (I think). And the doctor from Deep Space 9 was a goodie. But the America oil dodgy dealing people didn't like him.

Oh and pipelines and missiles and terrorists.

Mmmm.

I think George should go back to ER.

made eff all sense to me either - a bit too disjointed -

mamafraise · 10/02/2007 21:21

Managed to get half way through this (DH's choice)and can't face anymore after what happened to the little boy. NOT A FILM FOR MUMS OF BOYS.
