I bought this because Toni Colette is one of my favourite actresses and I fancy Aaron Paul and it was a great film, but the whole time I kept thinking 'Pierce Brosnan is a Paedophile in it, WHY are we supposed to like him?!'. I thought the message of "he got duped therefore feel sorry for him" was unnecessary and should have been "the pervert committed statutory rape on a minor and should be remorseful". It just wouldn't work IRL - an MP being happy about his teenage daughter befriending a convicted paedophile? No!
