Memoirs of a Geisha - disappointing imo

i went to see this on my own at the pics and have to say i really loved it! especially gong li (my fav actress). so it was a bit cheesy but that's why i loved it so much, beautifully shot too.

I agree with you socci. I read the book ten years ago and loved everything about it.
I was looking forward to seeing the film and altho the film was lovely i felt it didn't do the book justice at all.
