Is a 3D movie a bad idea for a 3yo?

Was thinking of taking ds(3.3) for his first trip to the cinema soon & fancied seeing Frozen. However it looks like it is a 3D film & not sure if ds will keep glasses on - assume it'll be blurry without though? Would you bother or do you think he needsto be a bit older yet?
Tia.

Its blurry without. Glasses need to be worn at all times. They irritate me.

A normal showing will be fine. I took my son for first time to see Despicable me 2 and he loved it

Go to the 2D version. The glasses won't fit him.

Thanks for your reply - as i suspected then.

I cant find any mention of there being a normal showing of that film anywhere near me - only the 3d version is listed. Maybe we'll have to pick a different film. Boo!

It should say 2D in small font depending on which cinema

I think it's even a bad idea for adults!

Took DS3 when he was three to see Up in 3D, his first trip to the cinema. His glasses kept falling off but he enjoyed it so much he asked to see the sequel - Down!

They don't recommend 3D films or toys until 7 plus!

Go see 2D version, DS loved it!

They do kids glasses at our local cineworld dp took our 4 year old but cos the showing time was more convenient otherwise he'd have gone to the 2d.
