I know this isn't strictly a conversation about movies but i wondered if any of you movie buffs have an in-car DVD player and what you think of them. How long do they keep kids happy for? (mine are 3.5 and 1). Also, how do they compare with normal DVD players when you use them with a standard TV?

Can recommend this one from this company see here. If you have access to Costco they sell it in there too sometimes. They do it in a single version too if you just need one - but the duo version can either let them watch 2 separate things or can be linked so they both watch the same film.

We bought an adaptor thaqt runs the laptop from the cigarette lighter, so can watch films or play games. Also, we can then download our photo's and empty the memory card whilst away.

DS's PSP is also great as he can rip any DVD we own through the PC and watch it on his PSP.

Haven't read the entire thread so apologies if i repeat anyhting. We bought one for ds (18months) he loves it. We pick up any dvds we see on offer so that we dont get sick of the same ones lol.

We got it from Argos for £80 Atlantic Solutions, think the screen is 7" it suits us perfectly.
