I know it's supposed to be a 'gentle' film, just wondering whether to take DS (4.5) to see it.

We're going to see it later on today - me and the dd's, who are nearly five and 2.9.

The reviews all sound good, and as the weather is so unstable today it seems like a good option.

yes that's what I thought emkana, it looks quite sweet doesn't it.

Yes it says in the papers that it's a film without any "adult" in-jokes etc, which will be good for the dd's as all those things go over their heads anyway.
Might just be a bit boring for me, but hey-ho.

Are you going to see it then?

I think DH is going to take DS to see it - sadly I have to work. Hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think of it.

It was okay, a bit boring really, especially for me, and the storyline I think went right over dd2's head, but both the dd's enjoyed it anyway because the monkey is so cute!

I really loved it! Saw today with DD (3.5 years old). We are bif george fans in the house, so she is familiar with the characther. I was afraid it was going to be disappointed, given that George books are a bit old fashion. But was pleasantlu surprised. They kept the spirit, but made it more PC. It is indeed a very gentle movie, and I thought perfect for the first time in the movies!

Oh and I loved the soundtrack! anyone knows of the composer?

Agree the storyline is a bit dull and finishes quickly, and it lacks some of the more sophisticated level of humour for adults. Kids enjoyed it though and loved the slapstick , toddler-esque behaviour of George.
