SAVING PRIVATE RYAN

Dh bought the dvd of Saving Private Ryan yesterday. We watched it last night. I have never been into history but this film really opened my eyes.
It is an amszing film and I was amazed as to what those poor soldiers went through.
Terribly sad.

The opening scenes are the worst IMO ... one of my favouite movies ... if you like this - then you'll like The Band of Brothers dvds ... though a touch americanised ....

Im sitting on the site where they filmed it.
The housing estate is bulit on a disused airfield which was used for both SPR and BOB.
I got to watch a days filming because a friend is a production assistant and he was local.
