My dd will be turning 6 in a couple of months and wants a "cinema" party - we have the use of a massive screen in a hall so we want to project a film on it, have popcorn etc before party tea, games etc. There will be 20ish kids there mainly 6ish years of age. However there will also be quite a few younger siblings who are 3ish. Can anyone recommend a film that will keep them all engaged? Could turn into chaos if a bunch of kids get bored and restless while others want to watch it. Most fimls these days seem to be an hour and a half but am worried this will be too long - anyone got any shorter film suggestions/ideas that are maybe an hourish?......x

The Secret of Kells got great reviews when it came out - it's 75 mins though

This An American Tail is also good, but again, comes in at 80 mins

Hope you find something - don't suppose the BBC or Channel 4 would have anything in their archive? They often do shorts.

Tangled is not massively long and entertaining.

Maybe take a box of toys.to keep at the back.for the younger ones if they get.bored.

Have you seen the lost thing? Narrated by Tim minchin. Lovely.

how about some Wallace and Gromit? 'The Wrong Trousers' is pretty short and there's another one I can't remember the name of.

or Gnomeo and Juliet is short too.

I would show half the film then have an interval with ice-creams/sweets
