have promised to take dd to cinema for the first time as a reward for going to bed so well all week. the only PG on is Narnia - would she be OK or is it way too scary?

btw, her fave film is Wizard Of Oz and she doesn't get scared of the witch in that.

Possibly a more suitable "first" film might be Chicken Little - out early February. We are thinking of taking DD to see this as her first visit. Have to read what it is about yet though.

DD loves watching films at home and will sit through quite a few. But I am not sure she'd enjoy Narnia.

Both ds (5y) and dd (nearly 3y) went to movies for the first time to see this movie. Both of them enjoyed it and sat still for the duration (may have something to do with the popcorn though). DS was although he didn't want to admit it, a bit scared at one stage, so offered him to sit on my lap. Dd was not scared and seemed to enjoy it.

found chicken little (at a preview) a bit too long, and the language a bit too U.S. "street" iykwim (dd and her friend - both 5.5 - missed bits they didn't understand & kept asking me to explain) but it was a harmless enough tale, based on chicken licken with sky falling in, a few aliens and usual american moralising.

Narnia scary for dd as well, she had cuddle from a mother who took her as part of her daughter's birthday celebrations.

Cod, taking DS2 was cheaper and easier to arrange than babysitting, DH and I both really wanted to see this.

Hula, is that something to do with Stuart Little then? Am thinking of taking her to see Fireman Sam at children's theatre this Saturday now.
