I have seen Serenity (the film was out at the cinema not long ago right?) I thought it was crap but dh liked it.

Serenity is excellent.

If you've done Buffy and Angel, you could try Roswell? Dh got me the DVDs last year and I really enjoyed watching them all again.

Oh, and according to everything I've read the chinese is real, but spoken very badly One of the fan sites I was on had people attempting to translate - lots of monkey sex if i recall correctly....

The plot of the film is apparently what JW was planning as the story arc for the second series of Firefly.

i missed the movie too, 7 month old baby a bit of an impediment
waiting for the dvd and hope it has lots of lovely extras
btw angel not creepy when it gets going its fab and very funny

Serenity great!!! It was only in cinemas for a few weeks, but some thing that DH was reading says it was still one of the most successful films of the year - not box office takings-wise, but for who enjoyed it iyswim.

We had pirates visit us over Christmas (yeah yeah, shoot me - I know we're clearly funding drugs and extortion, and tbh, I don't care... I'll be buying proper version when it comes out, and paid no money to the pirates)., so i've seen it a couple of times now.

As far as I've heard, no plans to finish more series of Firefly, but they are all signed up for a couple more films.

Serenity was voted best film in 2005 on Film 2005 - and I couldn't agree more. Excellent movie - funny, scary, sad - just Joss at his best. I can't wait for the DVD to come out here.

Just checked on Amazon and it's being released on DVD on Feb 27th, so have just stuck it on the rental list. Can't wait! Have just worked through season 5 of Angel & desperately need some more Whedon.
