I can overlook most things (like script, plausibility, acting) if Robert Pattinson is on the screen but I have been so looking forward to this that am really Sad that all the reviewers say it is beyond bad.

So is it worth going to after all or just as dreadful and boring as they say?

I saw it and loved it. I think the people who don't like it are the ones that don't get the Twilight thing anyway. Fair enough but if you like the whole twilight thing then I can't see why you wouldn't enjoy it.

akaemmafrost · 18/11/2011 21:58

It's just like the book and tons of reviewers said that was bad, if you liked the others you will like this.

FatimaLovesBread · 18/11/2011 22:00

I saw it last night and I liked it. RPattz is lush, as is Jacob.
I think the bad reviews tend to be from people who don't like twilight anyway

Dolcegusto · 18/11/2011 23:20

I liked it.

Bit cheesy at times, the wolf telepathy thing was hilarious, Bella looks progressively worse through the film.

Can't wait for the next one.

overtheseatoskye · 19/11/2011 00:04

What was cheesy? Plus is the whole Jacob imprinting v cringey? Am planning on going with DH but don't want it to be too toe curling.

Just some of the scenes with edward and Bella, it's not toe curlingly bad though. Wedding speeches are hilarious, especially emmets. Made me laugh.

Dolcegusto · 19/11/2011 09:06

Imprinting bit isn't cringey, it's only mentioned briefly. Renesmee is a cutie though Smile

overtheseatoskye · 20/11/2011 10:25

So glad I went. Found the first few minutes a bit Hmm but I never have liked Ashley Greene as Alice -after that loved it.

better than i was anticipating, but 12a should be higher rated, very gory

susiedaisy · 20/11/2011 23:03

Oh I'm so Envy with you all I havent got there yet, hoping to go this weekGrin

EightToSixer · 21/11/2011 02:37

Saw this yesterday. I have to admit that while some parts were amazing, all the wolf scenes were terrible, awful cgi, cringily embarrassing wolf telepathy. Really dire.
Bellamy looking awful in pregnancy was good though, and much of the film pictured successfully.

Appuskidu · 21/11/2011 09:30

I agree with the previous poster that the wolf bits were a bit pants, and it's all pretty cheesy, but I loved it! It was all as I'd imagined-the island/wedding etc and the imprinting wasn't too spewy.

I don't remember the bit where the wolves threaten to kill the baby though and Jake says he'll do it instead-to try to distract them from Carlisle etc going to feed. Was that in the book?

susiedaisy · 21/11/2011 09:35

Yeah the wolves were all set to kill Bella so the baby Couldn't be born, if I remember correctly, although it's been a while since I read BD

Dolcegusto · 21/11/2011 16:36

I'm pretty sure Jake double crossing the wolves doesn't happen in the book.

I though they came to an agreement that the cullens could hunt without being attacked?

susiedaisy · 21/11/2011 17:29

I think Jake does double cross them in the book he sort of goes off on his own and then the female wolf( forgot her name) tries to join him, and he's not impressed

Fcas · 06/12/2011 23:27

I saw it at the midnight showing, even though I was so tired and didn't think I would make it through the film, without drifting off..
I couldnt take my eyes of the screen! Im not a big film fan, but I love twilight.
This film is great!
