As someone who watched the fly on the wall series The Family years ago (when it was repeated, not really that old
), I was really interested to see Cinema Verite, a film about the making of the pbs series An American Family in the 70s which came out about a year before the English version.
Posted about this over in the telly section but no interest. It was on Sky Atlantic and I think is repeated on Sunday, and is probably on dvd. Great visual feel of the 70s and a great cast. It made me look at some of the pbs youtube clips and interviews, and at times in the film, more towards the end, they intercut clips from the original series. Just a fascinating story, although ultimately quite sad.
