I watched it last night and thought it was brilliant. So many moments, especially when the little girl got 'shot'? Anyone else love it?

I started a thread on it ages ago here

It's probably the best film I have seen this year

chonky · 19/02/2006 21:46

I saw this this week - agree with Lilibet that it's the best film I've seen in the past year. V.v.harrowing though.

KAZ09 · 20/02/2006 20:39

Fantastic film. DH and I were shouting at the TV. I defy anyone not to like it.

Ulysees · 11/03/2006 10:03

Definitely deserved the oscar. I cried 3 times though Blush and it was at the cinema as they put new dvd releases on for the oldies so I went with my mum last week.

5 star in my opinion. Does anyone know if the scriptwriter got an oscar?

suzywong · 11/03/2006 10:05

yes I agree, it desereved the Oscar.
I saw all the nominated films except Good Night and Good Luck and Crash was the best.

Agree too that the script was outstanding

fastasleep · 11/03/2006 10:17

I still can't understand why they named it the same as that horrendous movie about people becoming aroused by car crashes... it's totally put me off watching it Blush maybe I will since you've all said it was so good!

UlyseesEggsAndEatsThem · 11/03/2006 10:33

I thought that fastasleep. Do watch it though, it's very clever and thought provoking.

charliecat · 11/03/2006 10:37

I too thought this was a brilliant film, really really good.

ellasmum1 · 14/03/2006 11:13

Me too. I was delighted it got the oscar. Keep recommending it to people but they either bring up the ghastly car crash film or are put off when i mention about it being about racism.

PollyLogos · 14/03/2006 11:56

I too thought it was excellant and the scrptwriter did get an oscar (original screenplay)

GDG · 18/03/2006 22:22

Just watched it now on Box Office - just said to dh that it was the best film I've seen in a long, long time - absolutely brilliant!

drdad · 19/03/2006 21:52

Anybody apart from me actually like the 'ghastly' and 'horrendous' car crash film referred to in other posts?

OK, I'll get me coat, then...

Dior · 19/03/2006 22:24

Well, I thought it was too patronising, mentioning the racism thing all the time. Excellent film, but it should have been more subtle in the racist hints, rather than making it obvious all the time. I mean, Magnolia had loads to say, but it allowed the watcher to discover all the undertones by themself.

Still really enjoyed it though.

chestnutty · 20/03/2006 20:08

Grin really good film.

schneebly · 09/07/2006 22:36

I thought there would be a thread on this - just watched it for the first time and I cried several times and shouted at the telly A very good film but agree with dior that it could have been a bit more subtle in places. Overall very good though - well worth watching.
