Are Mr Bean films OK for small children?

My DC's are aged 5 & 6 and I was wondering if they'd get the Mr Bean gag and find it amusing. I've been on the IMBD site and content-wise it seems OK I'm just not sure if they're of an age to understand the humour.

Why don't you show them some mr bean on you tube and see if they enjoy it.
Can't think of anything in the films that is unsuitable for younger children, but it is a while since I saw the first one.

I let my kids watch Mr. Bean from age 7 and 8. They still think he is really funny.

My nearly 5 year old loves them, I've not seen anything inappropriate as I've re-watched them with him.
