Just watched this on DVD and didn't know if I found it funny or incredibly sad!! Anyone else seen it/ What do you think?

Watched it last night. Very odd film. Not exactly funny but I couldn't stop watching it. My first laugh-out-loud was the bit with the cow and the bus full of kids. Although it took me a while to get into it, I was still sitting there for the wedding scene at the end of the credits.

I know what you mean about it being sad but I'm having trouble describing why. Something to do with the characters having such dull empty lives yet still thinking themselves important, and the fact that there really are people like that! (except of course for Kip who spent all his time on the internet and even met people he'd 'spoken' to online. No-one does that surely!.

I think it is far and away one of the most original films I have ever watched and loved every minute of it.

I didn't find it sad - I thought that the fact that the main characters were (obviously) dorks but were written as supremely confident throughout was a brilliant touch.

It makes a change, don't you think, to see a film that is totally original and not just the same old format, churned out again and again and again?
