A friend today said it was fantastic.

Johnathan Ross sat and wept the whole way through. He said it was brill.

When is it on ?? Have just looked on Odeon site and can't see it.

saw a preview with ds (6.5) and dd (almost 5) who loved it. There are some amazing set pieces & I did have a happy sniffle at the end. Some bits strike an odd note - recently widowed father with a job that's played for laughs, & that job is (hello?) a mortician. But kids didn't seem to notice anything strange.

took dd (6) this afternoon, she loved it. It's a beautiful film, it's also a film you can chat about with the children after they've seen it, the humour is lovely, and the ending is beautiful.

plus: there is Colin Firth

I bet the film is fantastic but I'm not sure I can sit through the whole film looking at that woman's tooth. It would annoy the hell out of me.

The widowed mortician sounds like a straight steal from My Girl (which is a lovely film but terribly sad)

im a big fan of emma thompson ( i think thats her name - clearly not that big a fan) for allowing herself to be seen in such a mess. she looks dreadful in harry potter too but is a fab actress.

Took the dd's to see it today and it was fantastic.

I really loved it and so did the kids.

The woman in front of us cried buckets at the end.
