i really really hope they show some of his old films and tv appearances now he's up for so many awards.

He's made some fantastic films but they never, ever get shown for some reason.

I have no idea why :(

Nanny McPhee seems to be on a lot!

I've not seen him in much - I quite liked him in Bridget Jones but hated his Darcy.

i mean much earlier films like another country, apartment zero and tumbledown

I told you I'd not seen him in much - the only one of those I've even heard of is Tumbledown!

slartybartfast · 30/01/2011 15:11

was in An Education he was in last year, which was up for awards, or was that someone else?

slartybartfast · 30/01/2011 15:13

nope,
it was A Single Man

southeastastra · 30/01/2011 15:15

Grin that's a fab film

i think it's sort of sad that his films have been neglected :( maybe i could get them from ebay instead

An education' was Peter Sarsgard, an equally good British film, however without Colin FIrth.

A Single Man was a masterpiece: best Firth film by a mile

A Single Man is my favourite film of recent years - so beautiful in every possible way, and Colin Firth is perfect in it.

oh surprised to see this still running! and so happy!!

a single man is very good, you can watch him in tumbledown and apartment zero on youtube

i think they're really worth watching. he's a fantastic actor and so overlooked. (until now!)
