Tangled is it girly or not?

It's this one. They are showing it at the Autistic screening me and DS go to every month but cos it's in 3D it's more expensive than normal so I don't really want to take him if he won't enjoy it. We recently saw Toy Story, Marmadukes, Despicable Me, Animals United and Megamind which he loved.

I haven't seen it but maybe this thread could help?

I suppose it is a little 'girly' but it's also warm, witty and beautifully animated. The songs are great too. The 3D is completely unnecessary as usual.

My 2.10yo DS got a little bored during the middle section but he enjoyed it nonetheless. My 12 yo nephew and his friend loved it.

I enjoyed it a LOT more than Megamind and it's on par with Despicable Me.

I was thinking it might be similar to Shrek?
