The BBC is celebrating this as if it's a great hoot. I must be missing something because i see a woman maintaining her professionalism while an older man persists in his attempts to humiliate her while others look on. Please share the joke, BBC.

That was absolutely embarrassing.

The BBC mustn't realise that some people actually watch the weather slot for information. It was contempt for the viewers as well as for the woman trying to do her job.
And totally unfunny.

hardshoulderr · 27/08/2026 02:27

It was funny.

cariadlet · 27/08/2026 02:45

I had seen the headline on the BBC website but hadn't bothered clicking on it. I've clicked on your link now.

What a dickhead. The woman's trying to get on with her job; some of the viewers would have wanted to know what the weather forecast was and he couldn't bear not to be the centre of attention.

No idea why the BBC thought it was worth putting it on the website.

Peter Kay is about as funny these days as a wet weekend.
Shame because he was brilliant when he did Phoenix Nights.

LovelyLass5 · 27/08/2026 02:54

Hes clearly an irritating chaotic dick but that’s what comedians often do.

JMSA · 27/08/2026 03:03

Annoying and unfunny 🙄

Agree about Phoenix Nights though. One of the very few things to ever have made me belly laugh.

MrsBatshitRatshit · 27/08/2026 03:22

Is that man seriously supposed to be funny?

LimpRat · 27/08/2026 05:00

Ugh, the way he physically manoeuvred her 🫪 Waving about like a toddler looking for attention. Awful.

I just watched it stony faced, with that grim recognition of how we are generally socialised as women to protect the feelings of boring crass unfunny relics like him. Not a nanosecond of funny behaviour there.

He needs to retire.
