Admiration for J K Rowling and thoughts on principled women

I love J K Rowling more than i can say. I've never read her books, but she is such an amazing humanitarian who cares so much for the wellbeing of women and girls, putting her money where her mouth is. But above all she reminds me that even though she is 99 % spot on about most things, she is hated and reviled by millions. That's how it goes for strong minded principled women. Beware those who are just people pleasers, the "pick me" women , who go with the flow, who clap along no matter what. And who sell other women down the river to try to please men.

I think I expect women to do better now, because we have communication and knowledge- we know the options, consequences etc. we have choices we haven’t had in the past. To collaborate in today’s world (assuming you aren’t somewhere like Afghanistan) is hard to excuse.
When knowledge was strictly controlled and hard to access, and we were really limited in our spheres of experience, it’s a lot more forgivable.
