I have stumbled across this on BBC iPlayer..... I'm only one episode in.....has anyone ever seen it? Just wondering others thoughts? I suspect this was absolutely groundbreaking for its time..... I'm not sure how to feel, my POV is live and let live, but I do not like (actually trust is probably a better word) men (in whatever guise) in "female" spaces - I've got nobody to have a civilised discussion about it in real life so wanted to know others opinions 🤔

Yes, seen it a couple of times. I remember watching it with my mum when I was a kid - it would have been a repeat, probably in the late 80s. As you say, groundbreaking in its day. A very uncomfortable watch at points. The unseen, pompous psychiatrist inspired the League of Gentlemen.

I'm obviously not at that bit yet..... I'm enthralled! I was born in 1983 so wouldn't have ever seen it etc. with my parents.....

I watched a YouTube interview with George/Julia a few years ago when I first started getting interested in the trans debate. He described a very traumatic childhood and there was no “I always knew I was a girl”. It was one of the things that made me start to question the born in the wrong body narrative.

The F to M ....completely different POV......G is all look at my legs, I need tits....needs to be deep to satisfy my partner......and the icing on the cake to F to M is your hair growth (facial) is weird to me.
