Poor Helen, is her sister still alive?

Itstimeforachangeagain · 25/02/2026 21:55

She was only 18.
So so tragic and sad
I can't access the article but local residents restored her grave in 2022 and apparently visit her it regularly. Which is really heartening.

@EvangelineTheNightStar it says he consulted with her family, so someone is.

BloodyHellBob · 27/02/2026 13:36

This is lovely but I wish they’d simply said that a man had paid for a new headstone for the victim of a serial killer and not mentioned him. His name deserves to be forgotten and the victims deserve to be remembered and better known.

deadpan · 03/03/2026 15:59

How nice of him. I wish they hadn't used the word "spree" so many times in the article.

I have no idea why he did this but it is entirely appropriate and wonderful

I saw the topic name and thought WTF!
Then kaboom! Well done that man.

A wonderful gesture.

But I'm puzzled that the article says that the land, Scholemoor cemetary, is owned by the YMCA. Seriously?
