Carlos wore this glorious t-shirt on Saturday night's Strictly Come Dancing in his training montage with Karen Carney.

The BBC tape over brand names on t-shirts but someone let it through - and I think the viewing figures are around 5M people! 😁

Whilst we wait for the image to be approved, it is the t-shirt version of this sweatshirt from a female founded and run company - although they do also have an LGBT range.

Karen and Carlos will be getting all my votes.

For us, this is about much more than fashion. From the beginning we wanted Spark to be a force for good, and we are proud to work with the inspiring folks at Bloody Good Period, a charity that fights for menstrual equity on behalf of displaced people who are in need of period supplies.

Above is from their website. Which kind of people do they think might need period products?

One might expect a feminist company to use the words women and girls when talking about people who need period products

From their About page…

Having worked in gross masculine-dominated environments before, we wanted to form a wondrous team that was kind, genuine and full of people we actually love being around.

Do they think men don’t have the capacity to be kind, genuine, lovely to be around? I’m not really getting an equality vibe from their messaging.

I had another look around their website - and apologies now for including the link as:

To get some frequently asked questions: Yes, we love our trans community. Yes, cis men are welcome to wear our stuff too.

Boak.

Doesn't change the fact that a feminism message was being promoted on prime time TV on the BBC - which can surely only be a good thing and a seeming change from their editorial guidelines - especially as this year's show features a drag contestant.
