I didn’t think she was too sure what a ‘woman’ is?

MiloMinderbinder925 · 03/08/2025 13:18

"Do you know what it is? Free labour of women is where it comes from.

“It comes from a fundamentally sexist place in that women didn’t have these services, so a load of women across the country got together and made these services and offered them to other women for free, and they didn’t get paid for their labour.

“So they put down a mattress and made a refuge. They set up counselling services and got people who were trained to be therapists and got their voluntary hours and set it up for free.”

Phillips said people do not recognise how heavily the UK has relied on women providing support that previously did not exist

She makes a very good point.

'She makes a very good point'

She does. It's just a shame that she played along with the trans nonsense for so long. That was a bit bloody galling from someone who knows more about the impact of male violence on women and girls than most of us do

I was focusing on the article and what she said in it.

I think it's as much a societal issue as a gender issue. Nobody had these services so women set them up for other women. The men didn't and still don't, which is why 85% of the homeless are men and there are next to no DV shelters exclusively for them.

Really, the government should've stepped up, but in JPs case her local council are bankrupt as a result of an equal pay case so they don't have any money (and to be fair it was a bit of a ridiculous decision to rule that cleaners were equal to binmen, given the huge difference in personal danger and physical exertion like walking 12 miles a day in all weather).

Is she the one who allegedly swore in Diane Abbott's face?

deadpan · 09/08/2025 10:12

I think she tries to skirt around the sex and gender crossover because she basically doesn't want all the crap that would come with it. I don't think she subscribes to twaw.

She was very proud to work on getting rid of the 'spousal veto' which is when women who marry men and those men then pretend to be women, allows them the ability to get the marriage annulled rather than having to go through a divorce. She said it was disgusting that women were allowed to do this.

She's bought into it hook, line and sinker.

Fair do's, I wasn't aware of that. 🙄
