I'm not sure if this has been posted already but I have just seen a picture of Dianne Sindall's gravestone. It is so simple and powerful. I sincerely hope whoever attacked her is now found and, like all the other women who have been murdered, she is never forgotten.

It’s not her gravestone. It’s a memorial on the spot she was murdered. It’s very sad going past there.

Ah I see - thanks for the clarification MmeChoufleur. That is so sad but I am 'glad' that there is a memorial there.

It was quite controversial at the time - a lot of men moaning about it being ‘politicised’ - I think it’s appropriate and there should be these reminders every time - she was a woman and ultimately that is why she died in such a brutal horrific manner.

Local women didn't forget. A group went on to set up a rape crisis centre which is still going today. Flowers have always been left at the memorial.
