Slow Newscast podcast - Appallingly biased 'experts' in the family courts

Re: the Tortoise Slow Newscast episode 320 "Goodbye mum: the ruthless fight for child custody". Has anyone listened to this and wants to discuss? I've only got halfway through because it made me so angry, will go back and listen to the rest shortly so apologies if I've missed something important.

This weeks' episode has really shocked me. I had always presumed (naively, I know) that all of the professionals involved in child custody disputes in family courts had the best interests of the children as their guiding light. Fucking hell, I was wrong. The absolute bile spouted by this self-proclaimed expert* on 'parental alienation' about mother's, judges and feminists. I can barely believe that someone this wilfully misinformed is/was allowed to advise the courts on custody, and essentially separate children from their mothers for years for the crime of wanting to protect them.

And the fact that she thinks that it's beneficial for the children to not only have contact with but live with fathers who have sexually abused them, and it's the mothers that are at fault for 'alienating' them... Wtaf? How was this crank ever allowed near a court? But then the worry is that she's not the only one.

If you hadn't already guessed, this episode contains upsetting content.

*Havent named her just in case.

I would get on and name her. The family justice council has just made her kind of wickedness obsolete. Parental alienation is not valid.

The slimeballs who make money out of it should be investigated by social services. Some of them seem dangerous to children

It’s more that I didn’t want my thread deleted before it had even had 1 response.

Thank you - I know this sort of ‘expert’ has essentially lost her —gravy train— livelihood and that’s partly why she’s parroting the ‘evil feminists have it in for me’ line but in the main I think she’s malignant. I’ve also been listening to In Dark Corners and from being very much a sceptic I’m starting to agree with those who say there is something very rotten within Child Protection in this country, even now.
