A woman on a jog along edge of park path. A man walking towards her in opposite direction also on edge of park path. What happens next? A) woman moves aside B) man moves aside C) neither moves aside so they bump into each other and woman shouts abuse D) neither moves aside so they bump into each other and man shouts abuse.

A unless she's playing Patriarchy Chicken in which case D

A, but more because she’s moving faster than him. Whether the same would be true if the man was running and the woman was walking, not so sure.

Based on empircal evidence acquired from my 4 mile walk along Brighton seafront this weekend, it entirely depends on the age. If they were older, they stepped aside, younger I had to step aside. Gender didn't seem to play much of a role.

We need more details. Is it daytime or nighttime? How busy is the park? What are the approximate ages of both parties? What size are they - large and imposing or smaller and less imposing? Does either party seem aggressive in their body language?

Joggers should always give way to walkers, regardless of sex.

A better scenario would be if they were both jogging.

Be careful of racial dynamics. In the U.S. under Jim Crow, African Americans had to step off the sidewalk if a white person was coming. So there are some sensitivities on this issue in current times regarding racial equality. I am not sure if this might be a concern in the U.K.
