Welcome all, New Year (nearly), new thread!

Sometimes we do stray into what we laughingly call "reality" here at the Bluestocking, and then our peaceful and funny equilibrium needs to be restored. That Guardian headline was very clever, with its overblown image of mainlining (addiction? Control? Chaos?).
Every time I try to use AI for my own nefarious purposes here at the Bluestocking, it infuriates me and I waste absolutely hours trying to get it to do what I want. That aspect is not going to get our potholes mended! I mean, WHAAAT? It can't/won't even show a female moose without antlers. And if you ask it to draw a hedgehog, a beetle, a magpie, and a female android, it gives you four hedgehogs and R2-D2.

FFS! It knows you're a female moose as it gave you Minnie rather than Mickey mouse ears. But still put antlers on you @inkymoose

I suppose i should not be a genderist but i have to confess i do like inky bow and big eyes boily.

About the cricket pitch...the pigs just thought it was a nice flat piece of ground to have a rootle in. Good job it's not the cricket season, eh!

Anyone know where the hermetically sealed rooms with stocks of antihistamines are? I've got sodding hay fever! Been wondering why I have been trying to claw my eyes out and the penny has suddenly dropped.

She may need to do repeat runs at regular intervals. I have the pleasure of being allergic to both tree and grass pollen, and if it's starting this early it's probably going to be a bad year.

I did wonder about bringing in too much outside reality to TB so apologise @Bannedontherun After shouting at the radio today I was coming into the pub grumpily looking to vent knowing that many regulars are au fait with the technology.

Also happy to criticise absolutely all governments and am not into party politics when it’s just rather nuts all around. However, I will go retreat into a corner with a drink now and mumble quietly to myself that it’s not like it used to be.
