Thank goodness Nikita won her case and he was found guilty! Hope the DPP look at their decision not to prosecute him criminally.

She’s so brave. The odds were really stacked against her but well done to the jury for taking it so seriously.

dublino · 22/11/2024 18:08

Absolutely delighted, though I was thinking he more then likely get away with it. DPP should be ashamed of themselves not bringing him to a criminal court. The paramedics and doctors evidence was shocking

Stretchedresources · 22/11/2024 18:09

I'm so relieved he has been found guilty. I feel for his partner though. She's utterly trapped.

Deadringer · 22/11/2024 18:34

Delighted but astonished at the result.

SoiledMyselfDuringSomeTurbulence · 22/11/2024 18:48

Let's hope we see more men held to account in this way.

FancyRedRobin · 22/11/2024 18:51

Between her and Gisele Pelicot, their bravery is unreal.
I'm inspired by their determination.

Really hate the BBC coverage humanising the rapist before the victim. Adds to the problem in my opinion

PeggyMitchellsCameo · 22/11/2024 19:47

That was positive news in some way.
Reading about Nikita’s injuries my heart went out to her. It was absolutely horrific what she went through.
I can remember Mike Tyson’s jury trial for rape in 1992 when he was convicted and sent to prison. Known for violence, it felt like a victory even though there was such victim blaming at the time.
Since then he has made several reappearances and is now promoted as some sort of cuddly grandad. He’s also earning an absolute fortune - Hollywood, boxing, Netflix and his weed products.
And yet reasonably recently he stated on camera he was not above violating any woman.
While he served his time a long time ago, I find it really uncomfortable seeing him everywhere.
As for CM he’s sickening to look at and his partner has look of a hostage about her. Won’t comment on her as I feel it’s unfair.
It is him who is the criminal.

I wonder why she didn't win the case against James Lawrence. Delighted she won against McGregor.

Joolsin · 22/11/2024 20:00

I'm so pleased for Nikita. I had a horrible feeling he'd get away with it. He's such a piece of scum.

FancyRedRobin · 22/11/2024 20:00

Every woman who read the physical evidence report felt for her and saw through his bullshit. She was beaten and bruised badly, her tampon was so badly wedged inside her cervix, it had to be removed using a forceps.
A pox upon that scumbag.

Delighted she won, however I fear for her,his fans are strange and possibly dangerous,so I hope she will be left along to continue her life with her family and friends.

The jury didn't believe his fairytale.

He claimed they had sex 3 times, she denied it and said cannot remember so by default it would be non-consensual.

They cannot convict him of rape if they don't believe intercourse took place.

DublinFemale · 24/11/2024 00:30

McGregor was the big one, it was McGregor she reported to police from start. She sued McGregor first and foremost.

JL took his oar in to muddy the waters. McGregor was funding his defence costs

Lovewine1975 · 25/11/2024 11:14

CG is an animal, so glad he was found guilty, Nikita has been unbelievably brave to stand up to him
