Heard about this in a lesbian subreddit. The mods leap on any hint of 'transphobia', I expect you can guess what's judged to be trabsphobic... Recently someone got banned for posting about Labrys Security, bc the labrys is a lesbian symbol the TRAs hate.
The company sounds interesting- I thought I'd post about it here. Women worried about security might well feel safer around other women, esp if they live alone. I'm glad it exists, just hope it isn't targeted by the gender ideologues.

Why Labrys Security is Leading the Way in Women-Focused Protection

In Part 1 of this two-part feature, co-founders of the UK’s first all-female security company, Labrys Security, discuss their journeys into security, what makes Labrys unique, and the importance of a woman-focused approach.

Reddit being their usual woman hating selves.

I'm not sure about this. I love all women services such as taxi drivers and am grateful for female security at venues however will these women be able to work a football crowd?

What about a load of drunk, aggressive men kicking off at an event? Would the strongest of them be able to take on a 6ft violent man?

Hmm.. good point. I hadn't actually read the whole thing yet, I have a lot of work. I assumed it was more to do with securing your house w burglar alarms etc for women who felt uncomfortable w inviting a man in to do it. I see I was naive. Yes I have doubts about it, if it's more about physical defence.

I looked at the grim alt-righter Richard Hanahia's Substack today, the comments were gruesome but informative as to alt conservative arguments. One poster mentioned the female security guard who got overpowered, leading to Obama being nearly targeted by an assailant in the White House. The strength standard is apparently lower for female security guards, which is wrong & gives ammunition to the alt right.
I know lesbian spaces sometimes have female bouncers- it's nice to have just women but I wonder how it works w fights. From what I hear generally they scare men off by acting intimidating, but sadly that won't put them all off.. Ofc some women can beat some men, but the chance is lower.
I learn BJJ myself, and it does give you good tactics, but I'm not under any illusions that it will make me invincible..
