I lost my bank card over the weekend. While I'm waiting for a replacement I transferred money to my husband and he agreed to withdraw some money for me.

He is now refusing. So I have no card and no cash. I don't have any food. I usually pay for everything and now I'm left with nothing. I want to go to my parents, I have a black eye and bruises all over my face but I can't because I have no access to money. This is abuse isn't it? He's talking like he just wants to keep me safe. I feel like I'm losing my mind.

Yes this is abuse. Do you have access to a phone to call the police or can you walk to a friend / neighbour or police station?

Oh Op 😞 It is abuse. Contact your parents and ask them for help. Even if it means going into a police station and asking to use their phone as it's an emergency.

If you can't get to your parents you can contact the helpline above regarding a refuge if you're in danger. You can also contact your local domestic abuse organisation.

Regarding food, can you get to a foodbank? Some deliver if you have no money to collect. Can you visit your bank? You can usually withdraw money over the counter. Can you borrow money from a friend or relative?

Yes it is controlling and abusive, please get help. On a practice level can you get to a bank? While I was waiting for a new card my bank showed me how to download my new card to my phone by using their app, even though I didn't actually have it yet and I was able to buy groceries, you may even be able to withdraw cash with ID.
Please try and get to your parents, can you call them, can they not come and get you?
