Reminding them to organise Lads Nights Out, birthday's etc.

Might have a crossover with the seminal (heh) "Bowling Alone" study about the fracturing of support networks

This definitely resonates with me! My dh is only interested in hanging out with me - very rare for him to do anything by himself/with friends. I do feel quite responsible for him.

Yes and it’s common. Recently invited to things so that partners could become friends during pregnancies - basically play dates for dads to be. I do think it’s more common or normalised for the 25-30 than 35-40 ages of couples I meet.

Oh god, yes. Part of the reason I couldn't bear to be with my ex any longer was the continued clinginess, neediness and being the sole confidant (and therefore punchbag) for him. I begged him to get MH help or go to Andy Mans Clubs - always an excuse not to do so. It cost me my own MH in the end.
