Imane Khelif confirmed as a man

It's been confirmed that Imane Khelif has XY chromosomes, testicles and a micropenis.

I feel so sorry for the Italian boxer Angela Carini who abandoned her fight against him AND was forced to apologise to him.

He’s deceitful and a cheat. I hope they don’t gloss over this.

If this is true those women should sue.

“The IOC and the Algerian Olympic Committee are complicit in endorsing male violence against women under the guise of public entertainment on the world’s largest sports stage,”

“They stood by as women were subjected to physical assault for spectacle, stripped of safety, fairness, and their lifetime achievements. All those involved must face swift and serious consequences.”

If that boxer had not pulled out, she could have faced life changing injuries. At the very least he needs to give back those medals.

Cloouudnine · 04/11/2024 21:18

It was in the IOC’s power to find this information out way ahead of the Games. The IOC’s agenda was never to publish the truth. The IOC wanted it to play out this way. It’s despicable. This could have been sorted out in private without a global conversation about this man’s micro penis.

JellySaurus · 04/11/2024 22:00

I find it difficult to believe that the IOC did not know this. The boxing federation said it had evidence IK was disqualified for genetic reasons, but the IOC chose to disqualify the federation rather than the male boxer.

He doesn't even think of himself as female according to the article which states: "The report concludes by recommending Khelif be referred for “surgical correction and hormone therapy,” to help him physically align with his self-perceived gender identity...."
And if the only requirement was to be female on a document and they weren't fussed on testosterone levels, did any actual females get dope tested? They should sue for sex discrimination if they did.

What a cheating prick.

JK Rowling right again

The sky is blue! Now, can Angela Carini, assaulted & forced to call it green, be compensated? Not that money can do justice to what happened..

Well indeed. It's a travesty. She was in with a chance of the medals and was abused for withdrawing.

I'm firmly convinced that this is an individual with DSD but it's not yet officially confirmed. The article says the journalist 'reportedly' saw a medical report.

It's kind of like saying it's been confirmed that humans can change sex because a TRA 'reportedly' became a woman.

nocoolnamesleft · 11/11/2024 21:45

It would have been far better for all concerned had he been discretely banned from fighting women. Women would not have been robbed of their wins, and he wouldn't have had his sensitive medical data broadcast on the internet. I actually feel sorry for Imane Khelif, as he did not ask to be born with a DSD. But he is a man, and should thus not compete against women.

Kaleidoscopic101 · 11/11/2024 21:47

It's entirely possible he and his parents thought he was female.

They could possibly have thought he was female (due to ambiguous genitalia at birth) up until he started going through male puberty, at which point it would have been very clear that there was something unusual going on: no breasts, no periods but instead male muscles and broad shoulders and so on.

The report said that he has XY 5ARD so it's likely he grew up as a girl until he hit puberty when his genitals will have formed into adult sex organs, though still with a small penis.

But there are also unscrupulous sports agents who search for people like Khelif so they can win sporting trophies intended for women. I feel sorry that Khelif is a pawn in the whole thing.

A friend of mine who identifies as a man and has had surgery and testosterone was desperate to have XY 5ARD when she was a little girl. For on what she's told me, she was brought up in a very strict Jehovah's Witness home and I think she was sexually abused. In that environment I'm not surprised she wanted to identify out of being female.

Well, strictly speaking we don't know that. The article states 'according to Aoudia', so we're going on the word of a French journalist. It most likely is true IMO but I still like to employ the same level of scrutiny as I would to anything else.

Like, if it was 'French journalist reportedly proves women are more violent than men' and it was a guy quoting a document he claimed to have obtained from somewhere, people on here would be sceptical as hell. I can't see them just saying it had been 'confirmed'.

I agree he's probably being exploited, even if this condition possibly wasn't recognised at birth.
