I'm wondering about others' views on this.

I use LinkedIn in a professional capacity. Don't love it but there it is.
I'm unable to get my profile verified because my given name and the name I use doesnt match (it's a variation) and therefore I can't use my passport to verify. I've been told that I'd have to change the name on my linkedin profile. I've also been told I'd have to do this if I used my maiden name professionally.
Whilst using a variant of my given name is a me issue, surely the professional use of a maiden name is an issue that disproportionately affects women and that there must be something they could do?

I just used my uni email address which had my maiden name on. Are you a member of an institute in your maiden name, all my quals are in my maiden name because I retained it professionally.

I’m not sure I understand where you’re coming from, you changed your name professionally and your quals are in your married name. Now you want to use your maiden name? If that’s the case?

Are you reverting to your maiden name outside of work or just in the workplace? if it’s the former you will soon get something official with your maiden name if you apply, driving licence takes about three weeks.

This is an admin issue not a feminist one imo.
