I want him not to be able to give me the flannel that we have to be kind to the woMen. I want assurances that we do t have to share our spaces. I want to not sound like the very nervous person that am I!

Any help appreciated?

I doubt any thought that crosses Rayner’s mind has a long journey.

Yes, I’m not sure she will be anyone’s first choice in a House of Commons quiz team

thenightsky · 28/06/2024 22:27

Alternatively, who's bankrolling their illogical position, what do they stand to gain, and what level of influence will they have after 4 July?

Food for thought indeed.

Who would win by silencing women, by controlling their kids and excluding parental
involvement. Who would win by telling lesbians they should date mens who would win by shutting down women’s voices at work? Who would win by making large numbers of neurodivergent children infertile? Who would win by allowing men to infiltrate women’s spaces, their clubs, their societies, their support network.

Why did people seek out “witches” - because they were women not toeing the line. Certain men like women to be subservient, to bow down to their views. To be reliant on them .

Joseypye · 28/06/2024 23:02

You were brilliant! Didn’t miss a beat.

littlbrowndog · 28/06/2024 09:53

He did. He did that

O this makes me so fucking angry.

i knew at the time they would use Brianna’s murder as a trans weapon. Brianna was not murdered because she was trans, those animals were out for blood, Brianna was an easy target because she was lonely and vulnerable. But, had they missed the opportunity to murder Brianna they would have gone after someone else.

mynumber · 28/06/2024 23:22

Well done Jane. Brilliant!

How AI imagined Jane...

I've created an account to say Jane you are amazing and an inspiration. Because of you I have emailed my local candidates asking their stance on single sex spaces and in particular will they state publicly that biological men (trans women) should not be permitted access into female only spaces. I have also asked that if they do believe that biological men (trans women) should be permitted access into female only spaces that they explain their reasons why.

I said it wrong in an earlier post. Rishi Sunak did not bring up Brianna Ghey, what he did was make a joke about Kier saying women had a penis, which was thoughtless, because Brianna’s mother was sitting in the gallery ( or due to be). It was Kier Starmer who then responded by using Brianna’s name to shame RS.

How many times has brought Brianna’s tragic death up again since?

lcakethereforeIam · 29/06/2024 00:08

That I'm aware of...5 and counting.

But that’s totally irrelevant to this debate, because I consider trans women to be women.

It doesn't make any kind of sense. What is a "trans woman"? Why do you believe every man who says they are a woman is telling you the truth, or that they have any way of knowing how being a woman feels? You clearly think you're superior to us, but you have no idea how bizarre you sound to most people.

Yes and for example this predatory transwoman was and is a man, but he is also a transwoman and had been since age 12.

A murderer who led a man to his death and livestreamed the killing of a cat months before has been jailed for a minimum of 24 years.
Scarlet Blake, 26, hit Jorge Martin Carreno before pushing him into the River Cherwell in Oxford in July 2021.
The judge said a Netflix show about killing cats "played a part" in Blake's plan. She was found guilty of murder at Oxford Crown Court last Friday.
Her trial heard she had been on the streets looking for potential victims.
Blake had already admitted a criminal damage charge in relation to the cat.
The Ministry of Justice said Blake, who is transgender, would serve the sentence in a men's prison.

Mamagin · 28/06/2024 19:12

Spoil your vote, tell them why and still post it. That way the candidates see it.

Careful, you'll get the scolders from the "who's spoiling their ballot" thread banging on about how the candidates don't really look at the spoiled votes. That said, I'd scribble out your X and write next to it "you lost my vote because of Keir's failure to properly support single sex spaces"

Scottishflower65 · 29/06/2024 02:19

Please can anyone who feels the same email their local MP now - it’s a very quick process - and say something along these lines? ‘ Starmer non answers and “twaddle” today have just lost this candidate x votes from my household.’

It's grim. An 'advisor', or several, behind the scenes will have gleefully seized on that and told Starmer, ah, we've got him! Whenever you can, keep bringing up that Sunak cocked that up. Make it sound deliberate, say it's a 'joke' at the mother's expense. As soon as you're questioned, deflect to that. We'll practice so it's automatic.

lcakethereforeIam · Today 00:08
That I'm aware of...5 and counting.

Fucking grim, nasty, cowardly and the assumption that no-one will notice such a tactic is difficult to believe. Thinking you're cleverer than everyone else when you're doing something so bloody obvious is disturbing in anyone, but a potential prime minister?

There's clearly a reason why Starmer mouths the same old platitudes, doesn't sound sincere and gets owned as soon as someone refuses to listen to his twaddle.

334bu · 29/06/2024 06:33

Thank you Jane.

TheaBrandt · 29/06/2024 06:48

I want to know why. Why is he so in thrall to this frankly flat earth belief that men can turn into women? Hes an intelligent man he knows they can’t. That’s why he gets cross, uncomfortable and refers to a horrific case that has nothing to do with the issue when pressed. He hates questions on this. His attitude to the questioner before on the Bangladeshi community was so different. Warm towards him but he obviously fucking hated Jane.

Its frightening when you think about it - politicians are so weak and scared they will say anything even nonsense that they know is nonsense.

I’m coming round to the idea that, a la Mr Tennant, KS has “skin in the game”. Perhaps a close friend or family member, but to be so blinkered he can only be taking this debate personally.

He’s supposed to be an intelligent man, one would assume so given his previous high level position, so capable of critical thinking and scrutinising evidence, but on this he is totally blind to the facts.

Flowers4me · 29/06/2024 07:22

And yes, any last minute seeing the light would just be another fudge to get the Labour party in power, with their anti-woman plans back on track come July 5th. I agree with the tweet earlier that it's interesting that Stonewall are all hushed up and not wailing about Starmer mentioning biological women, and it looks very much like a deal has been done.

Spot on with this from @UpThePankhurst Even if Starmer promised us single-sex spaces, I wouldn't trust him. It's all about getting into power and he'll say what he has to say to get there.

TheaBrandt · 29/06/2024 07:29

Shame for him and Stonewall that the majority of us bog standard women have woken up to this now. Jane speaks for millions. If Labour and Stonewall try to roll out self id etc the majority of women will push back very very hard. We have the Cass review, JKR and frankly reality on our side.

Wasn’t there something fairly recently where he referred to himself as having two sons, when the record is that he’s got a son and a daughter? I don’t think I ever read a proper explanation of why he said that. I don’t have children but I’ve never heard anyone forgetting what kids they have (except possibly Boris Johnson, but with that many it would be hard to keep track).

He has said since that he has a son and a daughter but that means nothing really as he is a lying politician.

AInightingale · 29/06/2024 07:49

I did hear that about Starmer too, briefly. He tends to keep his family under wraps generally.

But I don't really think he cares about losing a number of women's votes because Labour are in such a strong position anyway. If things were different, if Reform were not such a factor, if we were in minority govt territory, then he would be out, fighting for every single vote. He might be prepared to commit to EA clarification, he might face down the zealots within his own movement. It's depressing, but he can afford to not care too much.
