I don't have a bit X/Twitter following.
This is on the top of the BBC News website.
Peadophilia in plain site.

Adorable moment girl, five, declares on air she has a boyfriend

A little girl shares with a BBC reporter in front of her amused parents that she has her first boyfriend.

Lots of little kids say they have girlfriends or boyfriends.

sweetnessandlighter · 26/06/2024 18:24

It does mean she's being groomed!

And do the BBC put them on the front of their news site?

Not my point. The BBC have chosen, out of all the thousand of hours of output at Glastonbury, to focus on a little girl saying she has a boyfriend.

ON THEIR FRONT PAGE

sweetnessandlighter · 26/06/2024 18:27

Ah - are you just wanting to have a pop at the BBC?

And my second comment shouldn't have said "doesn't", obviously.

Nonsense. This is a “cute kids” Glastonbury filler story. The kid also goes on to talk about pet scorpions.

WolfFoxHare · 26/06/2024 18:33

Unless her ‘boyfriend’ is an adult, it’s not paedophilia ffs. It’s just a cute human interest story. I roll my eyes when people say kids have a boyfriend/girlfriend but I have a child in primary school and loads of them say it.

That's not the headline though, is it? And also, WTF?
Of all of Glastonbury output to put on your front page, you pick a five year old girl talking about a having a "boyfriend"?

So why is BBC News choosing that clip for their front page?

Oh come on. She's desperately cute and has a best friend who is a boy.

By her age, I think I was on to my second 'boyfriend'. My parents and his thought it was hilarious. I was deadly serious and we were going to get married.

Unfortunately it didn't last which is a shame as his family were loaded

It's a normal thing kids do.

And did an international news outlet put you on their front page?

So why is BBC News choosing that clip for their front page?

Because they think it’s cute and funny? Why do you think it’s got anything to do with paedophilia?! I doubt that would even occur to the vast majority of people. It’s weird that you went there, frankly.

By all means think they should be highlighting the music at Glastonbury instead but I really don’t see the paedophilia connection. Does your tin hat need a polish?

Even worse than that, someone is repeatedly posting the link on online forums!!!!

TotalDinosaur · 26/06/2024 18:40

So, let's get this straight. Of all the output of music, performers, speakers, audience, people etc at Glasto, the BBC News page chooses a five year old girl talking about having a boyfriend. Do you seriously not find that odd?

OP posts:
Simonjt · 26/06/2024 18:41

OP of you think its peadophilia why are you choosing to distribute it?

Our son had a wife when he was six, plastic ring and everything, I’m fairly confident his six year old wife wasn’t a peadophile.

TotalDinosaur · 26/06/2024 18:45

I am drawing attention to a post on the front page of our national broadcaster.

I think it is fucking odd that, of all the things they could have posted about Glastonbury, the largest music festival in the world, they focussed on a five year old girl with a "boyfriend"

OP posts:
heldinadream · 26/06/2024 18:46

Look you plonker. One of the things they do to cover Glastonbury is interview ordinary random people, arriving, enjoying it, dancing, getting muddy, whatever. They just happened on this family and miss cuteness delivered a random line. So they've used it.
You are really talking shit.

MeAgainAndAgain · 26/06/2024 18:46

Aww, it reminds me of my boyfriends at that age. I dumped the one at private school (aged 5) for the one in a council house (aged 6) who had a really really ancient brother (aged 17) with a noisy motorbike.

I was 5 too.

Ohh now I’m remembering Richard when we were 9 as well! He was only with us for a short while as he moved to our area mid term, his parents were waiting for the new term to start to move him to the local private school. He was so clever, he knew all about quotation marks already 🤯. I mean, I did too, but he was posh! I still have a photo of him as the short time he was with us coincided with our class photo for that year. Ahhhh Richard 😍.

Why are you saying “Please help”? What help do you want?

AnnaMagnani · 26/06/2024 18:51

@TotalDinosaur disappointingly no.

If they had my parents would have treasured the footage and probably saved it to replay at my wedding as a cute but slightly embarrassing moment.

No

But you're wacko

YellowHairband · 26/06/2024 18:55

I hate when people say young children have a boyfriend/girlfriend, and I don't see why the bbc thinks anyone cares about this.

But I don't see how you've got to paedophilia.

To be fair, the OP clearly does need help.
