This is truly awful. I think the only power we have is to encourage a tourism ban on the grounds that it’s no longer safe for women and girls.
We know FGM is torture and mutilation and we shouldn’t support nations who reinforce it.
Let’s face it, the guys that run the country will own the holiday resorts. There should be a campaign to boycott companies that offer holidays to Gambia. They won’t listen to the harms of women but they will listen to their bank balances.
