Aibu in thinking most problems women are faced with are the result of men? Rape, sexual assault, paedos , grooming, gaslighting, stalking, stereotyping, wanting porn like sex, just to mention a few. I don't know what the answer is but it's
becoming very disturbing for every women!

No. YABU.

Most men I have had interactions with have been lovely, the many female managers I have had . . .

Absolutely the most vile, bullying, cruel people I have ever met. There is something toxic about large groups of women working together, no idea why, but it seems to being out the worst in some of us.

This is true. Study after study shows that women would rather have a male boss and that women collaborate better with men than other women.

I've hard only decent female bosses. But how is that relevant? Some female co-workers may be not that pleasant, but around the world, it's not women raping and killing men. It's not women who deprive women of their rights to an education, their rights to bodily autonomy, to a decent career, to freedom. Even when such regimes and movements have female supporters, they are fundamentally created by, steered by, and benefitting men. How can you place "oh, some bosses are mean and unreasonable" on the same platform as what men do to women all around the world?

Zuve · 28/02/2024 20:13

Men can be very creepy in public

Screamingabdabz · 28/02/2024 20:14

…And I bet if you were walking down a dark street and someone was following you, you’d heave a sigh of relief if you saw it was one of those ‘toxic’ work women rather than a strange bloke. Get real. Of course men are the problem. Not all of them, but too many of them.

MrsTerryPratchett · 28/02/2024 20:23

I've had two excellent female bosses.

Lots of the staff didn't like them because an assertive woman with boundaries is scare-wy. <tiny violin>

And however bad a female boss is, she probably won't rape you.

A male boss probably won't rape you either.

Yes, most of the serious problems in the world faced by women (and men too, come to that) seem to be caused by men.

Of course 'NAMALT'. Of course most of the men I know are lovely. Of course there are nasty women too.

But overall...no contest.

sawdustformypony · 28/02/2024 23:53

so...what next?

These large work groups of women ever raped anyone? Murdered anyone? Beat up their partners?

Out of the 2 he's far more likely to, and he's the only one capable of it.

WandaWonder · 29/02/2024 00:14

No, there bad men there are also bad women and this 'all men are bad and all women are sweet inncoent petals who can do no wrong' is of course untrue

Women can make better choices and actually use the brains they were born with and stop blaming everyone else for the decisions they make, it is not an excuse

That is not a universal thing. Surveys in Denmark, a more feminist nation, show women and men preferring a female boss.

I bet if you polled women about what their biggest problems were, it wouldn't include things like rape, sexual assault, paedos , grooming, gaslighting, stalking, stereotyping, wanting porn like sex for most women.
Most likely it would be work, children, bills, rent, cost of living, free time, etc. The main things related to men would be relationship related such as share of housework, mismatched sex drives, disagreements about finances and spending, etc.

This.
It is just easier to blame "men"

Did you and other posters who are defending men pick up this thread by accident or did you deliberately come to the Feminist section to slag off women? Seems a bit like a Millwall fan buying a ticket for the West Ham supporters stand.
