'Vagina owners'

I haven't posted to this area of MN before but I do read the threads and often have an opinion (but usually others have said what I'm thinking and much better than I could)

Anyway back to my reason for posting. After a late period this month and lots of negative pregnancy tests I've been on google to see what other reasons could be causing it
My mum was diagnosed with ovarian cancer S1C 12 weeks ago so am a bit more anxious of reproductive health issues
So I found a page with 12 reasons for your period being late
One of them starts off with 'Most vagina owners begin menopause between the ages of 45-55.....'

VAGINA OWNERS? Why not just say women?

The "inclusive" language is so misogynistic.

It's so infuriating that it has to be explained over and over again that using language that used to be used by incels is not quite the progressive and wonderful thing these "activists" claim it to be.

fedupandstuck · 14/11/2023 12:34

No one owns my vagina. It's part of my body like any other part. No medical information ever says pancreas owners, or kidney owners, or appendix owners etc etc.

Misogynistic claptrap.

turbonerd · 14/11/2023 13:52

It is plain stupid. I don’t own my vagina, my husband doesn’t own my vagina either.
I have a vagina, as a part of my female body.

funbags3 · 14/11/2023 14:06

I've never heard this description being used. Is it a new thing?

YouJustDoYou · 15/11/2023 14:33

Boots says "vagina owners" too on it's "women's health" pages about the menopause etc. But surprise surprise, doesn't reduce men to their body parts (https://www.facebook.com/reel/597916752400668) Women though? Fuck women. We're "vagina owners".

LubaLuca · 15/11/2023 14:36

Bloody hell, I own my vagina as much as I own my pancreas. It's just there, it's not a tangible asset 🤨

VoodooQualities · 16/11/2023 18:48

Well to be honest pancreas-owners also need to be aware, pancreatic cancer is serious business.

VoodooQualities · 16/11/2023 18:50

Skin-havers also need more awareness, of melanoma etc.

TitusMoan · 16/11/2023 18:50

You’ve not mentioned heart-owners yet. So exclusionary

WomenShouldStillWinWomensSports · 16/11/2023 18:52

"Vagina owners"
Just goes to show men think vaginas can be owned, are inherently owned, and therefore can be bought and sold.
The mask slips so often and we see the deep-seated misogyny once more.

justalittlesnoel · 16/11/2023 18:53

I wonder if being married means my vagina is leasehold and my husband owns the lease 🤔 is being single freehold?

Who's doing the LTV calculations on these things? I don't fancy it being surveyed for value tbh. Is there a Rightmove for fannys?

Just snorted my drink reading this 🤣🤣👌

I think we can safely assume some of the people writing this stuff aren't brain cell owners.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 16/11/2023 19:03

“Vagina Carriers” would be better.

”Owners” is odd.

VoodooQualities · 16/11/2023 19:17

Clit carrier
Pussy person
Fanny folk

It's nicer if it alliterates.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 16/11/2023 19:19

If I own my vagina, could I remortgage it and get a bit of extra cash? Or do some sort of an exchange programme so I get to have one with a nice, sunny climate for a week or two?

Edited

Is it just me or is "inclusionary" language actually really, intensely, exclusionary.

BlusteryLake · 16/11/2023 19:23

Almost certainly written by a penis haver.

vernatheraven · 16/11/2023 19:23

My dog is a vagina owner aswell.

VoodooQualities · 16/11/2023 19:23

^^ not only is it exclusionary, it's dehumanising.

It's also fucking ridiculous and deserves to be made fun of, pointed out and never ever just accepted.

Fannyfiggs · 16/11/2023 19:26

vernatheraven · 16/11/2023 19:23

My pussy has a penis

Verybadbride · 16/11/2023 19:27

My vagina has been very clear, over the years, that it is certainly not owned by me.

Delphinium20 · 16/11/2023 19:27

You know who owns vaginas? Pimps.

KStockHERO · 16/11/2023 19:30

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 16/11/2023 19:03

“Vagina Carriers” would be better.

”Owners” is odd.

"Vagina carrying" sounds like a sub-event in Olympic weightlifting.

But I can't get onboard with "vagina owners" either - I picture a group of women female humans walking six abreast each holding a leash out in front of them with an out of control minge scamping along the pavement.
Gives "growler" a whole new level of meaning.

VoodooQualities · 16/11/2023 19:33

Mingefolk has a nice ring to it.
