Is Liz Fraser helping all women or just herself?

1000 replies

Cambridgebunz · 07/11/2023 09:26

Liz Fraser boldly claims across all mediums that she aims to help all women live their best lives. However, there are suggestions, allegations, and evidence to the contrary.

What are your thoughts on the validity of her recent postings in the realm of domestic violence, parenting, mental health, neurodiversity, travel, running, holistic wellbeing and more, as a self-promoted "influencer"?

Keep your thoughts wholesome, relatable and current to her most recent postings. Do not mention ex-partners or her children by name. This discussion is to better understand the objective of and validity behind her “work” and words.

I agree, it's a weird thing to get competitive about! I'm sure it's both the reasons set out above plus her never-ending propaganda about the Fraser Genes!!

I was struck recently by how set in her ways she is for someone who is always ranting on about how she loves to "fly by the seat of her pants". Everywhere she goes and whoever shes's with she enforces the same rigid regime. The run, the yomp to the top of the highest mountain, the swim in the freezing cold lake/sea etc. No mooching round the shops or going for a boozy lunch for our Lizzie. No putting her feet up by a roaring fire eating mince pies!! I hope the new man has equally spartan tastes and doesn't mind trailing after her and watching her doing what she wants to do.

I don't get any sense of joy, warmth, humanity or "f*ck it let's not run today let's have some FUN". I wonder what level of austerity her Christmas will involve. We know she hates it and bellyaches about it constantly.

She probably thinks I'm a jealous troll but there isn't one iota of her life I aspire to. She certainly doesn't inspire me except to be as unlike her as possible.

It’s sad as I can imagine t he re us some delicious food to be had in Venice if you know where to go and avoid the tourist traps (we were very ripped off when we went) but she won’t be able to relax and enjoy it is probs my working out the distance of the run or bike ride the next day

You’re right. It’s very “hair shirt”. There doesn’t seem to be any joy there.

Mortonswood · 09/12/2023 18:07

@Verity44 she also always goes to places she’s traveled before so also far from seat of her pants.

Umbrellaisback · 09/12/2023 19:21

So she’s fallen in love (her words) with someone who runs ultramarathons but surely this can only have been after the solo birthday and the solo hospital thing? In which case she falls fast. Meanwhile shes away again two weeks now so where do home responsibilities fit in?

Raffington55 · 10/12/2023 00:12

Liz spontaneously runs a marathon on half a bottle of water. Has snacks and whiskey after. 🤥🤥🤥 Sure you did Liz.

SplatPancake · 10/12/2023 05:42

This is all just Looney Tunes isn’t it?

Whealspeed · 10/12/2023 06:01

Was the man who stopped in a layby to kiss her and give her a tracker bar a stranger or the new beau? It's not 100% clear.

SplatPancake · 10/12/2023 06:14

That’s because it’s not 100% true…

Shortbread49 · 10/12/2023 07:04

impressive running a marathon on skye most of it is hilly

Well, if lay-by man is married, I expect she's sleeping with both of them now

OffendedScot · 10/12/2023 09:18

@Raffington55 you forgot also uphill and cross country. 🤥🤥🤥🤥

Perfectlystill · 10/12/2023 09:27

Thirst shot this morning is just embarrassing

Joonio · 10/12/2023 09:41

I don't see her name on the list of runners.

She's an embarrassment. This relationship - if it lasts - will be mired by competition. She likes to win and she's already trying to prove how good she is with Mr. maroon trotty shoes - she will compete and compete and compete with him until they loathe each other. Meanwhile, Mike posted such a lovely project done by S - so lovely to see something genuine done by her - not some forced "Dadeeeee I luf you becuz you are gud and kiynd and HULP peeypol" .....

CambridgeBuns · 10/12/2023 10:22

Someone call the British AAA. Scrap this. The Guinness Book of Records! Oh, and Paula Radcliffe, Jane Tomlinson, Liz McColghan, Sarah Rowell you nobody women with all their years of unnecessary training. Shame on your mental weakness ladies.

[is the boyfriend indulging her or gaslighting her? 🤔]

I FINALLY finished in a running time of 3 hours 36, but there were lots of stops so it doesn't really count. But it's a starting point, and I've done it 🙏🏻

And now I've ticked the box: I've run a marathon!! After all these years it seems the required factors are:1. fall in love with someone who can run 100 miles and understands pushing through pain and tells you you can totally smash a marathon/ultra. 2. Do it. Oh, and 3: have a roaring fire and a whiskey at the far end to spur you on! Job done

zingtring · 10/12/2023 10:26

Given her 5km times she could probably get close to 3 hours if she put in the training over 5 months at least
3.36 is a great time regardless
But no training is just stupid
She could probably have run it with stops but not in that time
The key giveaway here is that any runner I know would have posted the watch face with time and distance because that is what you are so focused on when you do the marathon distance

GinnyWoolf · 10/12/2023 11:09

The biggest irony about Liz is the one that she just can't see. If you can't exist without a love interest, you're not flying solo. If you rely on the likes and endorsements from total strangers on social media to make you feel good, you're not flying solo either. If you have to announce everything you're doing rather than just quietly doing it, you're not flying solo. Etc.

Shortbread49 · 10/12/2023 11:11

Thought she had gone on the train hence the man holding the train for her with a big smile

Joonio · 10/12/2023 11:19

Dies Mike have a 2nd IG? All I can see is food shots.

Friday The 13Th Scream GIF by Karla Delakidd

Doesn't that shot on the bridge remind you of The Scream?

NHSarah · 10/12/2023 11:36

It's strange she's not tagged the same running groups and magazines with this elite marathon time she does when running Park Run. Surely this is more worthy?!

Notsolong · 10/12/2023 12:04

Her broken ribs are healed then.

Notsolong · 10/12/2023 12:18

And the man from the plane driving her to the station because luckily he wasn’t flying for a reason.

zingtring · 10/12/2023 12:24

Proof is up - fair do that is pretty impressive
