It’s ok to say a woman sucked dick to get job

I support a football team and a very attractive woman was announced at getting a great position at the club.

A male fan posted “who did she nosh off to get that job?”

Somehow don’t think if man got the job there would be comments of “who’s pussy did he lick to get that job?”

I reported him and Twitter said:

“After reviewing the available information, we want to let you know User broken our safety policies. We know this isn’t the answer you’re looking for. If this account breaks our policies in the future, we’ll notify you. “

Ok then. 🙃

Did you mean to say they said user HASEN'T ..etc?

Some social media sites are useless at moderating. The first line of response is usually automated. Keep asking for a review and you may eventually get a human being looking at it.

The other option is to report to whoever is the admin for the group, post, page, etc or even to the football team themselves.

If that doesn't break their policies then maybe suggest their policies aren't fit for purpose?

But yeah, take this up with the group or club.

I use twitter and often report content I consider to be homophobic/transphobic etc. Or at least I used to, I realise I'm now wasting my time.

Since Elon Musk took over a year ago I found that for content to be removed or bans to be made, users would basically have to make a death threat or similar.

Joke isn’t it.

I also reported someone for making a joke that a social media boxer’s (can’t remember name of boxer maybe Logan Paul or similar) had had lots of men (in a derogatory way rather than praising obviously!) . So slut shaming. Again, no issue was seen with this.

I made the mistake of reading the comments and it was loads of men congratulation him on his gREat jOke. 😒

I've reported posts recommending the extermination of an entire ethnic group and apparently it is not against X's standards

If you really want speech you feel is offensive closed down OK. But don’t complain when someone finds something you say offensive and shuts you down. We reap what we sow, sow censorship get censored.

KatBurglar · 03/11/2023 16:07

No of course it isn't OK to say that. It's a disgusting, misogynistic thing to say. But no one ever gives a shit about misogyny.

BitofaStramash · 03/11/2023 16:14

Of course its not ok.

But Elon Musk sacked all the moderators and changed X to a free for all. It was a toxic cesspool before and not its got worse.

Best thing to do is close your account

futuremoneyinbank · 03/11/2023 16:22

What I've never got with these comments is how the man being so weak willed to allow this to happen and so very grateful to give a position of power is somehow fine... Like, get a manager in who won't do this if this is not what you want- says far more about the manager and who/how he chooses to interview than the applicant? (Obv I know its largely BS and not "real" but if they really want to pretend...)

I said this to FB once when they failed to have an issue with whatever sexist or disablist drivel I'd reported that day.

The internet really a cesspit for women.

Not OK as a joke, not really OK if true.
